A Selected List of Reference Sources on
African Languages and Linguistics

Included here are many general indexes, abstracts and bibliographies not entirely devoted to African languages, but which contain substantial references to languages and linguistics in their subject classifications. Appropriate sections in each should be consulted to obtain the desired information. Corrections and additions are welcome.

Also search appropriate entries in the Library Catalog for specific languages and language groups, countries, regions, etc. For example:
