U.S. government documents and other published material may be accessed on the excellent Government Printing Office (GPO) site. Many are available immediately in electronic format via a fast, efficient search engine.

• In addition to medical resources, the Centers for Disease Control site has travel recommendations for African countries
• The United Nations Development Programme web home page
• VOA broadcasts are available in various languages and audio formats. A news site and a TV for Africa site are featured.
• The ANC includes press releases, policy documents, and other information
• The International Institute for Environment and Development has a number of full-text resources available via its publications list.
• USAID provides information from various world regions, including Africa
• The Commonwealth of Learning supports distance education, and educational development
• Canada's IDRC, among other things, lists a number of development aid projects in Africa
• The U.S. Department of State site includes the Bureau of African Affairs and links to a permanent electronic archive at http://www.state.gov/index.html
• The World Bank's publication page allows searches of a comprehensive listing of Bank project-related documents, World Bank Periodicals and Newsletters, and publications from International organizations
