Personal Names
  1. Establish per title page usage
  2. Author's preference may override 1. above
    3. (Check OCLC for predominant form of name)
  3. Add dates (if information available)
  4. Fill out initials in |q (if information available)
  5. Add references as necessary
  6. Refer to special language rules
  7. Resolve conflicts
  8. Make sure references and additions to headings are justified in 670

Corporate Names

  1. Establish per title page usage
  2. Prefer fuller form of name
  3. Corporate body name preference may override 1. and 2. above

    4. (Check OCLC for predominant form of name)
  4. Add references as necessary (e.g., acronyms)
  5. Resolve conflicts
  6. Make sure references and additions to headings are justified in 670

Conferences

  1. Establish per title page usage
  2. Decide whether or not conference is ongoing
  3. Ongoing: check OCLC for predominant form of name
  4. Not ongoing: Add number/date/place (if information available)
  5. Add references as necessary
  6. Resolve conflicts
  7. Make sure references and additions to headings are justified in 670

Series

  1. Establish per series title page usage
    2. (If no series title page exists, refer to priority list in Chief sources of information)
  2. Prefer serial title
    3. (Check OCLC for serial record)
  3. Add references as necessary
  4. Resolve conflicts
  5. Make sure references and additions to headings are justified in 670
