Transferring phone calls
When you have someone live on the line, you will see the third button under the display says TRANS. Press this button once and then dial the number you want to transfer them to. If it is a 273-xxxx number you only have to dial the 3-xxx. If it is a 392-xxx number you only have to dial 2-xxx. If it is another number you will need to dial 9 and then the phone number.
Once someone picks up at the number you have dialed, announce the call and then when they are ready press the TRANS button again. This will transfer the call and you will be left with no one on the line.
If for some reason you do not want to complete the transfer (maybe the person can't take the call or it's going to voicemail) you can instead hit END CALL to hang up with the person you have called. The person who you were trying to transfer is still there, they are just on hold. Select the line where they are holding to talk to them again.
Placing someone on hold
When you have someone live on the line, you will see the left button under the phone display says HOLD. Press this button once to put the person on hold. The icon next to the line the person was on will change to look something like this 
You will notice when the person is on hold the left button under the display now says RESUME.
To get back to this person, select the round button next to the line that person is on (the one with 
). You will now have that person live again. Alternately, you can also just press the RESUME button.
