Asian and African Material Location Guideline

The following locations were established in spring 2003 for the Asian and African Collections in anticipation of bringing together Area Studies (Judaica, Latin America, Asia, and Africa) into separately maintained and proximate collections when Library West reopens in early 2006.

Spine labels for the material added to the above locations include the notation ASIA or AFRI.

Asian material, except videos and DVDs, is located in the ASIA Sublibraries/Collections.  See also Asian Materials Cataloging and Processing Guidelines.

African material is located in the AFRI Sublibraries/Collections unless otherwise noted on the piece.
