  The theme for the 2001 University of Florida's Community Campaign is 'Gator Gifts Make a Difference'. The UFCC goal this year is $780,000, which will help to support 62 charitable agencies that have a significant presence in Alachua County. The Libraries have set a goal of $20,000 and 60% participation for this year. We're counting on all of you to help us beat our 2000 contributions by $2,000 with 7% more participation!

Each year we have been successful in providing more contributions to the UFCC agencies. Our continued and increased support this year will augment our community's ability to help our neighbors in need. Please join in replenishing the financial resources that benefit so many of our residents.

To sweeten the campaign, the Libraries are sponsoring a Sweet & Savory Contest (more than just sweets) AND a Silent Auction, both planned for Friday, October 12. Please join us for fun, good food, some great gift items, and a good cause!
