Printer/Publisher: Name based upon the Library of Congress Name Authority File. If not listed, the most widely accepted.
Country: Based upon the Library of Congress Name Authority File. For the United States, the name of the state. City: Based upon the Library of Congress Name Authority File. Latin names will be converted according to the Latin Place Names page maintained by the Bibliographic Standards Committee of the Rare Books and Manuscripts Section of ACRL. Date: Single date, that of year of publication. If no publication cited, an estimate will be provided in italic.
Keywords: The preferred source is the Library of Congress Thesaurus for Graphic Materials. If a suitable term is not in the LCTGM, the Library of Congress Subject Headings be used as a source and the term will be in italic.
Mottoes, Text: Any mottoes or text in the device. Transcribe as is without i-j v-u substitutions. Reversed letters should be transcribed unreversed. A entry in the note area may be added if important.

Device Reference: Citation of reference source based upon the rules of LC's Standard Citation Forms for Rare Book Cataloging (unfortunatley, not online.) A bibliography of the Device References will be maintained and expanded as more citations are made.
Usage Period: This will cover all the years a device was known to have been used by the original owner and successors. This is subject to change as more information becomes available. The same device may have multiple entries according to different printers usage.
Notes: For anything considered of interest. States of the device, such as the Manuzio device should be noted here. Each state will have a separate entry.
Source: A brief bibliographic description of the publication.
Reference: Citation of reference source based upon the rules of LC's Standard Citation Forms for Rare Book Cataloging.
Location: Where the copy cited is located. The digital image may not be used without the institution's or individual's permission.
