No, you can enter one word from the actual string and the search would still work. eg. If the title of the entry is "The comparative revolution and the transition in central and southern Europe "; a search for title with the string "comparative" would retrieve the above record. The same applies for all the possible searches in Basic and Advanced Search.

2. What is basic search?

The basic search allows a user to search the database on a single search criteria. eg. If you search for "Agh" in AuthorName, the search results would show all the database entries with author "Agh".

3. What is meant by the Type of Search?

Brief description displays the Author name, Publications Year, and Title. The complete descritption in addition to the above fields also displays Format, Edition, Series, Note, Main Subject, Heading1, Publisher name in the search results.
